WIP-toyota levin TE27by ~evil-hanzel

this is a 1:24 1973 toyota corolla TE27 model kti from fujimi, still in the WIP (work-in-progress) completion stage. it originally came with no engine. i cut the hood and trunk open and got a toyota 2TG engine from a fellow modeller friend. he sent me to engines and i got two kits.

- build time: 6 months (as of now still on progress)

- 15 percent completed

modifications (done):

-lowered ride height
-14" two piece panasport rims,
-scratchbuilt front chin
-opened the hood and trunk
-scratchbuilt engine bay
-scratchbuilt trunk
-resin casted 2TG in TRD blue, wiring and plumbing and twin side draft carburetors
-remodelled interior (original seats were removed)
-scratchbuilt door cards
-scratchbuilt new interior floor with carpeting
-recaro Njoy seats
-4 point sabelt harnesses
-nardi steering wheel
-carpeted backboard with old school pioneer TSX speakers

modification(future/to be done)
-completely wire and plumb the enine in the engine bay with all ancilliaries(brake master, hydrovac, radiators starter etc)
-high rise headers
-remodel the rear leaf suspension to be more accurate
-scratchbuild the whole exhaust system and connect to the headers
-maybe a TRD/tosco rear spoiler
-working trunk hinges
-color is still undecided

this te27 will be my long term model project. as this is the only model that is nearest to my car, and one of my favorite toyota cars, im taking my time into building this baby. and hopefully it could win the model show when it is finished.

this model/s have been keeping me busy for some time already. its great stress reliever and i can do things to my favorite cars which i cannot afford to own.

WOW you do alot of work on these model kits, way more than i can do lol. Sadly i lost the patience to build models and now i have a giant pile of unbuilt models just sitting in my room collecting dust heh.

i can't wait to see the finished product of this.

you must get working on them buddy. this levin is a long term project . i just give it a couple of hours a week like some 5 minute sanding or just glue something. although i do build some quick projects from time to time. unfortunately im very busy lately with other stuff so i have less time for modelling.

yup. thats what i do, a few hours or minutes a day, and when you're already halfway the project, you'd be giving more and more time to it.
